Not Just for Kids!
After CrossFit we headed to the Neighborhood Wal-Mart in Jenks. We were casually rolling through the bread aisle and moved onto the paper items. We needed paper towels. Kody stopped to look at the books. He was smiling and looking at the children's books so I walked over to see what the fuss was about. "Look at this shelf and tell me if you notice anything strange," he said. I walked over and we both just started giggling. What in the world could have been so funny you ask?
Hmmm..."Her Little Black Book" you say? The well defined male chest on the cover seemed a little out of place between Disney's Pixar Storybook Collection and Scooby Doo. The catchy phrase "She would never be the same again" graced the front. Fitting. And no, it wasn't like someone just threw the book on the shelf, there were multiple copies of this classic. It looked intentional. Maybe we should all shop for leisurely reading in the children's section more often. Thanks Wal-Mart!

My Dearest
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RYt8gh388Y
I had an interesting conversation with Kody last night. It went a little something like this:
Me: How was your day today?
Kody: Pretty good. I try really hard not to touch females breasts during the day.
Me: I'm posting that on my blog tomorrow.
Well, I guess at least now I know it won't be on purpose if it happens. When I questioned him further on the comment he told me he meant that he tries not to when he is listening to a patients heart. I told him it might be good to say things like that before the comment about touching breasts. He agreed. We laughed. At least in his profession of choice a comment like that makes sense. I would probably be more concerned if he was an IT tech. Touching breasts there would just be borderline inappropriate.

I Might Make You Cry...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ODC5e3AEa8
It completely tore my heart out! All I could do was think of my dear, sweet Bailey dog not having a home. It is such a crime! Pedigree had such a response from this ad they had to make a new one to lift viewer's spirits and let them know that Echo was OK. This will make you feel better...

The agency that does brand planning for Pedigree has won a lot of awards for their branding campaigns. Our brand planners recently went to a conference in Miami. They gave us a report on what happened while they were there yesterday and they showed us those two spots as examples. I started tearing up telling Kody about it last night. He laughed at me. I'm such a nerd.
3AM Update: Bailey slept through the night last night. No wake up call for me! She got a good walk in last evening so I think I wore her out a little bit. Hopefully this will be a trend.

My 3AM Routine
How could I ever tell that sweet little face no? I'm done for when I have children. Sorry Kody.
In other news: I won a $15 iTunes card at work today during our monthly staff meeting. I won it playing Olympic trivia. I really enjoy winning. I also won a plastic "gold" medal which I did in fact wear all day. It was special.
